In episode 253 of Poker In The Ears, Joe and James interview EPT Main Event champion Giuliano Bendinelli, and build hype for the upcoming WCOOP 2022 online poker festival.
The podcast begins with a catch up, then it’s swiftly moving on to talk of the record-breaking EPT Barcelona, now considered one of the greatest EPT events of all time.
James was ill and had to miss out on some of his commentary duties, but Joe and the rest of the team stepped up to fill his shoes, even taking part in True Geordie’s Showdown, where Spraggy won himself an EPT London package.
The EPT Main Event was one of the most exciting in history. Lightning even struck the building, outing power and delaying play for over an hour.
In an incredible display of both poker skill and mindset, Italian pro Giuliano Bendinelli came back from just one big blind to make it to heads-up, cutting a deal with French player Jimmy Guerrero before going on to win the Main Event for €1,491,133.
