Gilles Simon, 21, won his Platinum Pass via Georgina “GJReggie” James Twitch giveaway, and it was on the streaming platform that he first learned how to play the game.
“I started playing on play money then got into Twitch and started playing and then streaming on there,” Simon said, shortly after winning his pass in 2019. “I’ve been streaming for about a year but only really started to do it seriously in August.”
At the time of winning his pass, Simon’s biggest live score was at the first live event he played where he won a €200 event for €4,884, but he has significantly improved on that since then. He scored two cashes at EPT Prague in March 2022 and has also had some success in online WSOP events.
He is a pro player, who puts in significant volume online (up to 800 MTTs per month) — time he used to spend playing football before he had to quit because of injury. He’s a fan of electronic music and fitness; he works with a fitness trainer to stay in shape.
