The PCA is back!

The big news of the week is the returns of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (after spending 2017 as the PokerStars Championship Bahamas). It’s not just the name that’s returning either, we’re also bringing back the $10,000 buy-in.

As we wrote this week that’s not all. There are a host of other changes coming into effect, not least a lower rake, a more streamlined schedule, and even improvements to the food! We were happy to announce the changes after taking on board a lot of feedback from players. We hope you share that enthusiasm, but if you don’t let us know by emailing us your comments (our email address is at the bottom of this page).

For details of those changes, and what you can look forward to in January 2018, check out the blog post.

Kevin Hart in Hollywood

It’s been a week of Kevin Hart on the blog as you might have noticed. He was launching his Laugh Out Loud comedy app, and poking a little fun at Usain Bolt while enjoying a lavish Hollywood party.

Daniel Negreanu joined the fun, as did our reporter Alex Villegas who amid all the champagne managed to send three dispatches from the front line of a tough job. Check them out below:

Poker In The Ears returns

They’re back…

“The boys are back from their summer break! James, Joe and Matt celebrate the return of the PCA, and confirm what’s in store for players heading to the Bahamas in January 2018. There’s a look back at this year’s World Series of Poker, and an interview with Main Event champion Scott Blumstein. Matt talks about some of his recent Twitch streams in ‘Adventures in Online Poker’, and Dave Haney from Great Falls, Montana celebrates his 45th birthday by taking on Joe at ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ trivia in ‘Superfan vs Stapes’.

Ryan “Diidums” Davies turns $8.80 into $118,000

Most poker players share the dream of wining the Sunday Million, but it turns out coming second is also pretty good. That was the impression we got from Ryan “Diidums” Davies this week who we interviewed after he finished second last weekend, securing himself $118,000 after a three-way deal. Not bad given he’d bought in for just $8.80.

It’s a great story, not least for the appearance of first his mother, and later Daniel Negreanu. You can read the full story here.

Introducing Spin & Go Max

Our popular Spin & Go promotions have had an update. As we wrote this week Spin & Go Max has ushered in a few changes, with more options for players, a new look, and more, which you can read about in the blog post we wrote this week.

Barcelona ahoy!

The PokerStars Championship reaches the familiar shores of Barcelona next week, with the Super High Roller event kicking things off in earnest this time next week.
