Winning a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) title is every online poker player’s dream and this year, thanks to the satellites and freerolls available, you have plenty of shots at claiming a trophy (and an elusive WCOOP prestige badge to display on your avatar) without blowing through your bankroll.

It’s the 23rd edition of the most prestigious online tournament series in poker and there’s a whopping $80 million guaranteed in prizes across 379 tournaments before a single registration is counted. While there are tons of low-stakes events, you might fancy playing your way into an event you couldn’t normally play. 

It’s entirely possible. Whether your bankroll is $5, $50, $500 or $5,000, you can still take a seat in the biggest events of the series for a fraction of the entry fee.

WHY NOT GET IN FOR FREE?

All eyes may be on Barcelona for the landmark 20th EPT anniversary event, but there’s still plenty of value to be enjoyed at the virtual felt over the next week. 

That’s because PokerStars has lined up a series of tournaments each awarding $2,500 worth of WCOOP 2024 tickets – the perfect way for armchair fans to be a part of the action and gear up for this year’s festival. 

And best of all – the tournaments are absolutely free to enter! 

One ‘EPT 20 Livestream Freeroll’ will run daily between September 1 and September 8 at either 15:45 or 18:45 CEST. To get involved, players simply need to tune into the EPT Livestream on Twitch or YouTube, where the password for each freeroll will be revealed. Enter this password when opening up the corresponding tournament lobby and voila – a player’s seat is secured!

WCOOP FAST TRACK SATELLITES

If you could pick one tournament to play on the WCOOP schedule – aside from the $25K Super High Roller, of course – it would probably be the $10,300 Main Event with its $5M guarantee.

But you don’t need a hefty bankroll to play it. You can win your way into one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year for just $2.20 with the WCOOP Fast Track.

Here’s how it works.

Players can qualify for the Main Events by participating in up to four daily ‘Steps’ tournaments.

Step 1 – $2.20 MTT On Demand – 1x Step 2 ticket
Step 2 – $22 MTT On Demand – 1x Step 3 ticket
Step 3 – $215 Multi-Table Tournament – 1x Step 4 ticket
Step 4 – $1,050 Multi-Table Tournament – 1x $10,300 Main Event ticket

If you win at one Step, you’ll receive a ticket to the next. You’ll then find your shiny new ticket under ‘Tournament Tickets’ in ‘My Stars’. You don’t have to start at $2.20 if you’d rather skip ahead as players can buy in directly at any Step, including Step 4.

WCOOP SPIN & GOS

Special WCOOP Spin & Go’s are running right now and will be right through the series.

With buy-ins of $0.75, $4 and $20, you can win cash prizes or tournament tickets right up to the $0,300 Main Event High, which takes place on Sunday, September 29.

Sometimes you won’t know which events you want to try and satellite into until the day of the event. When that happens, don’t worry: there’s always time to win your way in.

While full satellite schedules for each of the 123 WCOOP events have yet to be added to the PokerStars client, rest assured that every event will have MTT and Sit & Go satellites with entries guaranteed in the prize pools in the days leading up to it.
