Future is bright for FutureofMe: The Thursday Thrill concluded on Saturday night, paying out huge prizes at all tiers. In the High stakes version of the event, “FutureOfMe” from Ireland denied Brazilian Pedro “pvigar” Garagnani, who was searching for his second title of the series. FutureofMe claimed a mountain of bounties along with his first place prize, adding up to a grand total of $222,790.
Leqenden makes fifth of career: Over in the Medium version of the Thursday Thrill, “Leqenden” earned their first title of SCOOP 2022. It took four entries for the Belarus-based player to cash in, all worth it in the end when they near-doubled their overall prize in bounties, taking a total of $116,321 for first. Leqenden earned their first SCOOP title in 2013, two more in 2020, and another in 2021 – this was the fifth of their illustrious career.
Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen locks up two in one night
Two in one night for Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen: In our main news of the day, Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen claimed two titles in one night, an incredibly achievement by any standards. The Swedish player has gone from strength to strength in recent years. In 2021, for example, they earned two WCOOP titles and one SCOOP title, adding to what now stands at over $9.2 million in total online winnings. It had been a relatively quiet 2022 series for Odeen until Saturday’s performance. Odeen came first in the 90-H NLO8 event for $28,101, then cleared a field of 8,097 entrants in the 91-L Turbo 6-max event, breezing past a final table full of Brazilians to finish first for $11,149. That’s the fourth SCOOP title of their career.

Team Pro watch: A few Red Spade players made final tables last night, with Mason Pye coming close again. Pye further demonstrated his Mixed Game prowess, cutting a four way deal in the 8-Game event before finishing second for $5,668. Benjamin “bencb789” Rolle had a decent run in the 84-M Thursday Thrill, coming fifth for a total of $19,611. Lex Veldhuis, still looking for his first SCOOP title, came sixth in the 88-H Deepstack for $10,602.
Mason Pye comes close again
An intense end to the evening: The final event to wrap up on Saturday was the 92: Last Player Standing, which had hyper-turbo blinds and a PKO format. An intense way to end the session, no doubt, with those tournaments reaching their end point in a matter of a few hours. Deals were struck in both the Low and Medium events to even out the top heavy payouts. Over in the High version, however, one player wanted it all. “boerni21” of Hungary took the full first place and a healthy sum of bounties for a total of $50,579, making it a third SCOOP title of their career.
Three new double champions: A few new 2022 double champions have emerged. It may have been a relatively small win for Andrei “Premove” Skortsov, but it’s one more trophy in the cabinet for the Kazakhstan based player. Premove took down the 90-L NLO8 event for $3,168, making it six SCOOP titles across his career. “XD89lol<3” of Finland also claimed a second of the series, winning the 85-H 8-Game event for $36,560. Along with Perrymejsen, they become the latest double champions of the series.
