Home / Poker / The Lex Veldhuis Vlog is live! Watch the first PCA episode here

“It’s the true life of a poker pro and a poker ambassador. What you’ll see is how it is.”

As if the video coverage from the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) could get any better, poker fans can now also experience this epic festival through the lens of the Lex Veldhuis vlog.

The PokerStars Team Pro is vlogging his trip for his YouTube channel and you can watch the first episode–which sees Lex firing in the $10K PCA Main Event, plus appearances from Benj “Spraggy” Spragg, Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot, and Alejandro “PapoMC” Lococo–below.

When we spoke to Lex earlier this year, he told us his newfound focus on YouTube was just another way of reinventing himself, as he has done multiple times throughout his poker career.

“This vlog is just the first look at what you can expect from my YouTube channel over the next few years,” Lex told us on a break in the Bahamas. “I’m so happy that so soon after launching my YouTube channel I have a chance to vlog something cool like the PCA and PSPC.”

Lex has been planning the vlog for the past month and a half and has a great team here working with him to produce the best possible content. Even so, he’s nervous.

“It’s exciting, but it’s a little bit nerve-wracking too because it’s new,” he says. “But that’s good, right? It’s good to feel nervous. It’s a feeling I love having because it makes me want to work hard.”

Lex is in the Bahamas with his family and friends, but you won’t see them appear on the vlog. He’s keeping it poker-centred, showcasing the life of a pro and guiding us through the hands he plays.

“I’m not the kind of person who does a lot of flashy stuff,” he says. “You won’t see me clubbing or doing crazy prop bets. It will just be the true life of a poker pro and a poker ambassador. What you’ll see is how it is.”

But when the poker and vlogging is done for the day, it’s all about some family time.

“It’s so nice to go from the poker area straight into family life,” he says. “I get to hang out with them, go swimming, go down the slides with my kid. It’s been a blessing.”
