SCOOP LEAGUE

The SCOOP League is back!

Adding to the number of reasons to play the Warm-Up series, the SCOOP League will be back this year, bigger and better than before. And you could be a part of it.

Having won the WCOOP League last year, Seb Huber returns for a new draft. We’re also thrilled to welcome Brazilian crusher Kelvin Kerber to the captain’s role. He’s an all-time COOP performer (eight SCOOP titles and counting), so he knows a thing or two about racking up points.

“It may be my first SCOOP league, but having won the WCOOP league, I fancy my chances, but I’m saving my talking for the tables,” said Huber.

Parker Talbot added: “I’d just like to remind Spraggy that you’re only as good as your last performance, and in the last league, he came sixth.”

GET INVOLVED AND WIN BIG

The fun begins when the captains have selected their teams — as players on the .COM platform have a chance to win big if you back the winning team.

There’s a Power Path Gold Pass up for grabs worth $10,300, plus an all-in shootout for the winning team’s community with $20K in value.

Here’s how it works:

  • Opt in for your chosen team (opt in closes on May 18). You’ll do this by searching for the Captain’s name in the PokerStars tournament lobby and registering for their freeroll.
  • KO players to win points on your Leaderboard (LDB) associated with the ambassador picked. The more players you KO, the more points you get
  • LDB will finish on May 30 before SCOOP ends. The top 20 players from each LDB will be awarded a ticket to the Battle Royale happening on June 1 (see below for details)
  • Winner of the Battle Royale will be announced on the PokerStars Blog and social channels
  • All players who have opted in for the winning team will be awarded a ticket to the community freeroll AISO happening on June 3, at 23: 59 ET

The top 20 players from each leaderboard will be entered into a Battle Royale tournament (100 players).

Battle Royale Freeroll on June 1:

  • 1st $10,300 gold pass
  • 2nd $2,500 silver pass
  • 3rd – 16th $109 Bronze Pass x14

Total – $14,326

SCOOP WARM-UP: APRIL 20-28

When gearing up for a big concert tour, Beyoncé and the rest of Destiny’s Child didn’t just hit the studio, they hit the track. Yep, they’d run laps while singing their songs (true story – we saw it in a documentary once).

It didn’t just warm up their vocal cords. It also ensured they were in survivor mode and could go the distance, performing well every night and never running out of steam.

Now, we wouldn’t recommend running laps while playing poker tournaments on your phone or laptop. But we would recommend a warm-up for a big series like the Spring Championship of Online Poker, where millions of dollars are up for grabs, not to mention the prestige of becoming a SCOOP champion.

It will help you get into shape and perform your best when the lights shine brightest.

So, here’s your chance to prepare (and win SCOOP tickets for free with the Ticket Machine — more info on that below the schedule).

WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR?

The Spring Championship of Online Poker never disappoints. The 2024 series had everything: huge tournaments and prizes, the debut SCOOP League, and an epic Player of the Series race.

In the SCOOP Main Events, Mexico’s “Fakhish” defeated Canada’s Mark “AceSpades11” Radoja heads-up to win the $10K for $948,434 and their first SCOOP title. Meanwhile, Paulo “Pauilohpmoraes” Moraes of Brazil was triumphant in the $1K for $493,965, and “greatness_m” finished top in the $109 for $241,169.

Strebkov: 4 titles and Player of the Series in 2024

The leader boards went down to the wire before Thailand-based Russian crusher Denis “aDrENalin710” Strebkov clinched the overall top spot. He’s phenomenal every year, but in 2024 Strebkov was something else. He won an incredible four titles and managed four min-cashes on the final night of play to defeat his countryman (and student) “Fal1st” by just five points. Those five points were worth $25,000, as that’s what Strebkov has earned for being the best player across the series.

Popular English pro Patrick “pads1161” Leonard is no stranger to leader board success and added a new feather to his cap by winning the 2024 SCOOP ‘High’ tier for $15,000. The Medium table was won by Brazil’s “tgrigoletti” for $10,000, while “king153246” topped the Low tier for $5,000.

WHICH PLAYERS HAVE THE MOST TITLES?

There were lots of movers and shakers throughout the 2024 series, but even Strebkov’s four wins couldn’t bring him close to the top of the all-time titles list.
