Let’s all speak honestly, shall we?
This was a big weekend on PokerStars, and we’ll get to all the news that’s fit to send out through the inter-tubes. But, let’s cut to the chase. This was the last big Sunday of the year before the 2011 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. If our focus were anywhere else, we’d be looking in the wrong direction. In six days, WCOOP will kick off for a three-week, $30 million series of events that will make the biggest online poker tournament news of the year. So, forgive me if my attention is on that today.
Nonetheless, we just blew through the final Sunday of August, and there is news to report. Here are all the big stories of the weekend.
