If you have spent any time on PokerStars over the last couple of days, you might have noticed people winning money even if they folded pre-flop. In fact, there are people winning scads of money even after they lost a hand. How? Well, the F40 promotion going on right now, of course.
F40, the name the folks at PokerStars gave to their 40 billion hand celebration, started awarding money a couple of days ago and it’s already given away thousands upon thousands of dollars.
If you’re not aware of how it works, here is the basic rundown. PokerStars is leading up to the point it will deal its 40 billionth hand. In the meantime, it has designated every millionth hand as a milestone hand. If you are dealt into one of those hands, you get $40 for every VIP Player Point you earned in the previous 40 hands you played on that table. When it comes time for the 40 billionth hand, you will earn $400 for every VPP earned in the previous 40 hands at that table. If you win any of the milestone hands, the money you earned will double.

So, it’s starting out pretty well. Next weekend, it’s going to go off in a pretty insane way. On Sunday February 21st, PokerStars is going to host a $4 million guaranteed Sunday Million. The winner of that event is guaranteed $1 million.
Also, keep our eye out for a $1 million guaranteed event that you can get into for $40 and a ton of smaller events along the way. In addition, PokerStars will be hosting a bunch of 40-player SNGs with really nice payouts.
