In 2009, it was one of the greatest new things in online poker. In 2010, it’s been the most anticipated online announcement of the year. Now, we can happily present to you the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker schedule.
Just moments ago we were given our first look, at the 2010 SCOOP schedule. The event will run May 3-May 16. Each of the 33 events will have three buy-in levels and feature just about every format PokerStars has to offer. It all ends at the Main Event with guarantees of $1 million, $3 million, and $5 million. In all, SCOOP is guaranteeing $36 million in prize money.
PokerStars tournament guru Bryan Slick told us this morning, “What I find most exciting about SCOOP is that players at all stakes levels get an opportunity to play in a championship-level event.”
We could wax poetic about this for several hundred words, but I think we know what you want to see.
