Pennsyl-MANIA event on PokerStars PA brings $350K guarantee
Pennsyl-MANIA is back!
When the first installment of Pennsyl-MANIA took place on PokerStars PA back in May, the field was enormous. Record-setting, even.
Three months ago the first Pennsyl-MANIA arrived in the Keystone State as a $200 buy-in, no-limit hold’em tournament with a $250,000 guarantee. When all was said and done, the tournament attracted 2,774 entries to create a massive $515,964 prize pool — more than double the guarantee.
“D-Low1527” won a first prize of $69,670 following a heads-up deal. “It was a very surreal moment winning,” he said afterwards. “I have always dreamed of final tabling a major event, so winning one was an added bonus.”
That first Pennsy-MANIA prize pool now holds the record for the largest tournament in Pennsylvania online poker history.
But for how long?
Pennsyl-MANIA will return to PokerStars PA this Sunday, August 23 at 17:00 ET.
The no-limit hold’em tournament again sports a $200 buy-in and a slow structure. Up to five re-entries are available during late registration, which lasts for the first four hours and 35 minutes.
And this time, there is a $350,000 guaranteed prize pool. The event is a two-day tournament, with Day 1 ending after seven hours and 45 minutes and Day 2 starting Monday, August 24 at 19:00 ET.
Satellites are running on PokerStars PA right now, some with buy-ins as low as $5.
Players can also win Pennsyl-MANIA seats in a special Depositor Freeroll available to all PokerStars PA players. Make a deposit of $30 or more using the bonus code “MANIA” before 13:59 ET on August 23 and get a seat in the freeroll.
The freeroll starts at 14:00 ET on August 23. The top 50 finishers will get seats into the $200 Pennsyl-MANIA.
