Lex Live is all about the community. Players travelled far and wide to join Lex Veldhuis and friends from his Twitch channel in Barcelona, but not many travelled further than the Main Event winner.
Australia’s Damiano Aloi triumphed last night, taking down the €440 buy-in event for €24,500 following a heads-up deal with fellow community member, Niko Wieland (€25,500).
“It’s very surreal,” Aloi told PokerNews after his victory. “I’m so grateful just to have the opportunity to travel to Lex Live, let alone win the Main Event. I can’t explain how happy I really am!”
He continued: “I’ve had some very big spots in Australia over the years. Look, no one likes bad-beat stories, but I’ve probably run under EV in major events. I’ve made five final tables in the last three years and not shipped one. So to finally break through, it’s like the monkey off the back. When you’ve been playing for ten years, are profitable, and have not had a major breakthrough, you always question whether you can do it. So to finally turn around and say ‘Yes you can’, it’s very nice!”
PokerStars Team Pro Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber settled for third place, cashing for €14,000.
Find out how it all went down on PokerNews.

The final table of the Lex Live Main Event is set — and it’s a doozy. Just nine of the 442 entries remain in the hunt for the trophy and €31,000 first-place prize.
PokerStars Team Pro Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber will enter today’s final table as chip leader, closely followed by community member Damiano Aloi — known in Lex Veldhuis’ Twitch channel by his username “Dammo_23”.
We first met Aloi back at Lex Live London in 2019 when he’d made his first trip outside of his native Australia to meet up with the community for the first time. We’re not sure how many times he’d ventured out since then, but this latest trip abroad is proving to be a good one!
For blow-by-blow updates of how we got to this stage, check out PokerNews’ coverage.
Here’s a look at how the final table stacks up:
- Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber – 2,960,000 (74 big blinds)
- Damiano Aloi – 2,845,000 (71 big blinds)
- Jordi Escriba – 2,105,000 (53 big blinds)
- Niko Wieland – 1,820,000 (46 big blinds)
- Sergio Rodriguez Cobos – 1,200,000 (30 big blinds)
- Martin Biegajlo – 745,000 (19 big blinds)
- Bakir Saranovic – 670,000 (17 big blinds)
- Kamil Chrostowski – 505,000 (13 big blinds)
- Oscar Penella Olive – 405,000 (10 big blinds)
Away from the tables, this festival has been full of laughs. From a surprise SCOOP trophy presentation for Lex Veldhuis to a two-hour dinner break for the Euro 2024 final and bus tours around beautiful Barcelona, there hasn’t been a dull moment.

Lex Live Barcelona is in full swing with both the €880 High Roller and Day 1A of the €440 Main Event in the books.
The High Roller saw Rens Buijs, a prominent member of Felix “xflixx” Schneiders GRND community, defeat legendary online crusher Bert “girafganger7” Stevens heads-up, taking down the title for €13,500. The two embraced when it was all over as Stevens earned a consolation prize of €9,000 for second place.
It’s been a great week or so for Buijs, who just last week reached the final table at Eureka Hamburg.
Over in the Main Event, the room was suspiciously quiet when Day 1A play began. That was because a lot of players were taking part in a pub quiz MC’d by Lex Veldhuis himself (this is a community-driven event, after all!)
Once the quiz was over the entries trickled in as the bar emptied and when registration closed for the day there were 143 total entries and €55,770 added to the prize pool.
Only 35 of them made it through the day with Spain’s Jordi Diaz bagging the most. He turned his 30,000 starting stack into 313,000 — a cool 100K in front of his nearest competitor, the UK’s Ben Miller with 213,000.
Other notables to find a bag include PokerStars Team Pro Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber and Power Path crusher Oli Hutchins.
It’s Day 1B today. Follow the action with live updates on PokerNews.
ABOUT LEX LIVE
Here’s an event more than four years in the making.
After two incredibly popular editions of Lex Live (one in Namur, the next in London), the stage was set for a third Lex Live way back in 2020. But then the world shut down.
Now here we are in 2024 and Lex, his team and PokerStars are thrilled to reveal that Lex Live is heading to beautiful Barcelona this summer, and everyone is invited – especially those in Lex’s community.
The event takes place at Casino Barcelona (the same venue as the European Poker Tour!) from July 9-15, 2024.
A Lex Live festival is way more than just a poker event. It’s a community meet-up, a city break, and a summer holiday complete with sun, sea and sand.
Come for the poker and the affordable €440 Main Event, but stay for the atmosphere, the off-the-felt activities (parties, player lounges, games), and the friendly vibes.

FULL SCHEDULE
The Lex Live Barcelona schedule is the most affordable full festival schedule you’ll find on the circuit — and it’s sure to be the most fun, too.
MEET THE LEX LIVE COMMUNITY
In the build-up to Lex Live 3, which was originally scheduled to take place in 2020 prior to the pandemic, we began getting to know prominent members of Lex Veldhuis’ Twitch community, all of whom were well known among frequent viewers of Veldhuis’ stream.
These guys were all planning to attend the festival back then, and while we can;t guarantee they’ll be there this year, you can still get a taste of what the community is like by checking out their interview profiles.
Going to your first poker event alone can be scary, so consider this your invite to join the club. They’re a friendly bunch, I promise you!
