Full details of changes and improvements made in the latest PokerStars software update, as of Wednesday, December 14, 2022.


Desktop

  • New Spin & Go lobby with UK players receiving 1 of 2 themes. Global rollout in 2023
  • Observers will now be informed that a tournament they are watching is being streamed on the PokerStars Twitch channel
  • Tournament rematch information will now appear first before the tournament end result pop-up

Mobile

  • Permanently enabled several settings:
    • Auto-switch table
    • Throwables
    • Animation
    • Prestige
    • Ambient Table Sounds
    • Dealer Messages
    • Displayed Folded Cards
    • All-in Cashout (Cash Games)
    • Bet Slider Shortcuts
    • Player Messages
    • Automatically Trigger Timebank

Desktop & Mobile

  • Tournament Information Widget improvements:
    • Information now shows in big blinds when the Show Values in BB setting is enabled
    • Additional games now supported (game availability is license dependent):
      • Split Hold’em
      • Showtime Hold’em
      • Fusion
      • 6+
      • Swap Hold’em
  • End of Tournament pop-up improvements:
    • ‘X’ now correctly closes the pop-up and not the table
    • Redesigned pop-ups now support phased tournaments
    • Knockout graphics added for KO games
    • Level Up with Lex graphics added to Lex Spin & Go tournaments

Responsible Gaming and Regulatory Improvements

  • Indefinite self-exclusion option added – EU & COM only
  • PEP & HIO statuses can now be modified within the client – Ontario only
  • A new pop-up added to collect occupation information as per regulatory obligation – Ontario Only

Bug fixes

We have removed several bugs including:

  • Cards from a previous hand showing on the board during a new hand
  • Cards and action buttons not displaying when it is time to act
  • Players forced to post BB when joining a table from the waiting list
