Important changes to PokerStars StarsCoin and Rewards Store
With PokerStars' new Rewards Program come changes to StarsCoin, our Rewards Store, and The Deal. Here's all the info.

StarsCoin will be replaced by cash rewards in our new Rewards Program
If you missed the announcement earlier this week, PokerStars is refreshing the way it rewards players in 2024.Â
As a result, some important changes are being made to PokerStars StarsCoin and the Rewards Store.
Let’s go through it.
REMOVAL OF STARSCOINÂ
Whilst StarsCoin has been a feature of PokerStars for many years, insight and research have shown us that the majority of our players prefer to receive cash or other rewards directly instead of StarsCoin.
Cash rewards give players more options. They can be used immediately to buy into games, whereas StarsCoin would need to be converted via the Rewards Store.
We have therefore decided to remove it as a reward.
We’ll convert any remaining StarsCoin balance that you hold into cash, at a rate of 1 StarsCoin = $0.01.
The changes will be implemented on the following dates:
- February 6: .CZ, .GR, .BG
- February 7: .UK, .EE
- February 8: .COM, .EU, .DK
- February 13: .FR/.ES
- February 14: .PT/.IT
WITHDRAWAL OF REWARDS STORE
As a direct result of removing StarsCoin, we will be removing our Rewards Store – which currently only allows StarsCoin purchases. This will take place on the same dates listed above.
We will still be offering players the opportunity to purchase PokerStars merchandise from our online PokerStars Store using their cash rewards and PokerStars balance.
The store will remain open with new items being added regularly.
WITHDRAWAL OF THE DEAL
Another direct result of removing StarsCoin will be removing our progressive jackpot game The Deal on January 31, 2024 (.COM, .EU, .UK, and .EE).
The Deal has provided a huge amount of excitement throughout its time on PokerStars clients. However, you can only play the game using StarsCoin. As PokerStars is switching to cash-only rewards, it’s time to say goodbye.
But not without one last jackpot.
JACKPOT SPLIT AND ALL-IN SHOOTOUT
On January 31, the jackpot will be shared between all players who have played The Deal since the jackpot was last won. The amount you’ll receive is based on the percentage of StarsCoin you have contributed overall since the last jackpot was won.
We’ll credit eligible players on February 3 and email them to let them know the value of their share of the jackpot.
Moreover, PokerStars will credit a ticket to all players* who have played The Deal between January 31, 2023 and January 31, 2024. The ticket will grant entry to a special All-in Shootout tournament for all remaining future jackpot funds, in which prizes will be awarded as Power Path tickets.
*UK players need to opt-in via the Challenges window to get their ticket.
Players will need to register for the Shootout but don’t need to be online to play. All winners will be notified by email.
