That’s it, Day 2 is in the books and 396 players have been reduced to just 43. A wrap of the days play is on the way. Day 3 starts at noon local time.
12.10am: Last five hands
The tournament clock has been paused and the 47 remaining players will have five more hands to negotiate before play ends for the day.
12am: More for MacPhee
We’re down to just 48 players and that’s in part to Kevin MacPhee as he just eliminated Carina Wald in 49th place. The EPT6 Berlin champion opened to 23,000 and then called when Wald moved all-in for 220,000.

Wald stood up again and wandered off the payout desk, whilst MacPhee is up to around 800,000.
11.45pm: Bandura makes a brave call
I joined the action on the turn of a 2♥ 8♠4♣ K♣ board, Georgii Bandura had bet 30,000 and Chris Moorman had raised to 70,000. After a long tank Bandura called, leaving himself just 80,000 behind.
The Kâ™ river paired the board, there then followed a quick tap of the table from Bandura and a long stare at the board from Moorman. After about 30 seconds Moorman checked behind, Bandura turned over Aâ™ Qâ™ for just ace high, Moorman puffed out his cheeks and then flicked his cards into the muck.
11.30pm: Big stacks as we enter the final level of the day
We’re into the tenth and final level of the day, there are 53 players left and the average stack is 496,000.
The chip leader at the moment appears to be Stephen Chidwick, the Brit has 1,450,000, he’s followed by Mario Puccini (1,030,000), Idan Raviv (960,000) and Dmitri Holdeew (950,000).
Some of the notables still in include: Marcin Horecki (840,000), Matti De Meulder (280,000), Chris Moorman (475,000), Kevin MacPhee (550,000), David Lappin (200,000) and Martin Mulsow (700,000).

11.15pm: A big pot and a big fist pump
Sergey Baranov let out a cry in Russian and did a little fist pump to celebrate doubling his average stack to a top 10 stack. He’d opened to 22,000 from the small blind, Lasell King had three-bet to 85,000 from the big blind, Baranov had moved all-in for 436,000 and after rechecking his cards King had called it off.

Big slick held on the 10♦ 2♠7♣ 9♥ 3♦ board to double Baranov to nearly 900,000 and drop King to less than five big blinds.

10.45pm: Ice cool
As part of the tenth season of the EPT there’s a special event being put on at every tournament stop. At Prague, it’s ice skating. PokerStars has built a rink just outside of The Hilton Hotel and anyone playing can take part.
If a player wants to have a skate they need go to the concierge desk, which is located just outside the tournament room, ask for the schedule and book into an available slot. It’s not just ice skating that will be taking place on the rink though as ice hockey and more will also for part of the program. Just to make sure it was safe – you know what health and safety is like – some of the PokerStars event staff gave it a trial run earlier. You know just in case it wasn’t safe! Perhaps though it was the bar that was the main pull.

10.20pm: How many will make it through?
The 72 remaining players are back in their seats for the final two levels of the night. I’m going to make a prediction and say that 49 players will make it through to Day 2. There are two Team PokerStars Pros still in with a shot at doing just that. As Marcin Horecki (490,000) and Matti De Meulder (365,000) are all still in. They both trail Mario Puccini (1,200,000) and Martin Mulsow (1,000,000) by some distance. The latter told me he climbed to a million in a hand where he had aces against jacks.
