Kokhestani takes down Main Event for €110K
Khossein Kokhestani has triumphed in the Eureka Poker Tour Hamburg Main Event, taking home €110,070 and the coveted trophy. The Ukrainian entered the final table fifth in chips but navigated his way to the title after defeating Denmark’s Nicklas Dehli heads up.
The €1,100 Main Event received 615 entries and created a prize pool of €584,250, with a min-cash of €1,750 (87 players left with at least that amount). Three Power Path Silver Pass winners cashed the event — Heiko Fiehn, Mike Schmidt and Mick Wittig — while a further eight PokerStars online qualifiers made the money.
We must give a shout out to Rens Buijs, a popular member for Felix “xflixx” Schneiders’ GRND Community and a live-stream commentator. He finished ninth in the Main for €10,610!

SCHNEIDERS DENIED HIGH ROLLER TITLE
Speaking of Felix “xflixx” Schneiders, the PokerStars Team Pro came agonisingly close to capturing his maiden major live title.
Having battled his way through almost all of the 109-entry field, Schneiders fell to Min-Guk Kim after a lengthy heads-up battle and a deal was made. Both players locked up €43,510 but decided to play on for €2,000 and the trophy, and the back-and-forth ultimately went Kim’s way.
With a prize pool of €207,100, this event was much bigger than last year’s edition (86 entries, €163,400 prize pool).

GRND DEEPSTACK SPECIAL SELLS OUT BEFORE PLAY BEGINS!
As you’d expect from a PokerStars festival, Eureka Hamburg had a fantastic schedule of side events available to players, and none proved more popular than the fun and affordable €170 buy-in GRND Deepstack Special.
The event was so popular that registration was forced to close before play began as there simply wasn’t enough space to seat all of the attendees who wished to play. To prevent long waits, the casino made the decision the night before to operate a lottery system for alternates, with players invited to register their interest an hour before play began and successful alternates’ names were then drawn at random when seats became available.
The community-led event — the first of its kind at an Eureka stop — received 218 total entries, although that number would have been much higher had there been space.
In addition to the regular prizepool, players were treated to various extra added goodies, including a €1,100 PokerStars regional event entry for the winner, plus two more €1,100 tickets to be won in an exclusive Flipout for holders of GRND chips (awarded to players who have been interviewed on the stream), among other surprises.
Following a four-way deal, Patrick Lorenz was declared the victor and presented with the trophy, and thus ended this year’s highly successful Eureka Poker Tour Hamburg.
EUREKA HAMBURG RESULTS
In other side event news, Martin Salih took down the €330 Cup event for €21,710 following a three-way deal.
