Day 2 of the €2,200 started today with 216 players left from a starting field of 450, a mammoth amount for an EPT side event. A huge €210,000 sits up top for the winner, along with a lovely, shiny EPT trophy. The overnight chip leader was Sofiano Vergitsis with 145,500 but pleny of top talent is chasing, including several former EPT champs such as Martin Finger, Kevin MacPhee, Team PokerStars Online’s Mickey Petersen, Michael Eiler, Kent Lundmark, Anton Wigg and Ronny Kaiser. Kaiser, who won EPT Tallinn at the beginning of last EPT8, started the day third in chips (126,500).
Vincent van der Fluit came into the day close to the top (92,800), an incredible show of form seeing as he missed the early levels having been too busy winning Event#17 (€990 No-Limit turbo). He’s in with a good shout for another cash here with 48 places paying (you can find the payouts at the bottom of this post).
