Home / Uncategorized / EPT9 Prague: High Roller Alex Bilokur wins another, takes a quick €72,000

Reigning PCA High Roller champ Alex Bilokur takes down the €2,100 turbo for €72,000 with a 5am heads-up final flourish.

Alex Bilokur can often be found in a tournament with an iPad on his lap watching some kind of film with swords and wenches. Or he was at the PCA any rate. Things worked out for him pretty well over on Paradise Island at the beginning of the year where he managed to overturn a resurgent Jonathan Duhamel to win the PCA High Roller and $1.1m.

Last night was a different matter. No $25,000 buy-in and lengthy levels where post-flop bluff, thrust and counter mattered, it was all about smashing your chips into the middle in a frenzied explosion of chip battering ram charges.

Bilokur took the crown but shared the spoils fifty-fifty with Dragan Kostic, who reprised the runner-up role that he assumed at EPT Barcelona last season to Martin Schleich. He won €532,000 that day.

Pierre Neuville, another EPT Main Event runner-up, also final tabled proving alongside Bilokur and Kostic that these turbo shoveaments aren’t just for the 20-year-old online phenomenons.
