EPT London draws players from all corners of the world
Registration closed today on the EPT London Main Event, with 749 entries coming through the door. That made this the second-biggest Main Event in this location after the 2010 edition, when there were 848 entries in the £5K tournament.
It’s been a long time since Europe’s leading poker tour landed in the British capital, but the appetite for poker is undimmed.
As ever, Day 1B proved to be the more popular starting flight, with 452 entries compared with 261 on Day 1A. A further 36 entered at the start of Day 2, either breaking the seal on their stack for the first time, or having another stab having faltered on one of the starting days.
There were 217 re-entries in total, meaning the tournament comprised 532 unique players.
As you might expect, the home nation provided the most entries, with 148 players bringing a British passport with them to register. There were 58 from France, 24 from Germany, 23 from the United States and 22 from Canada.
In all, players came from 52 nations.
