The European Poker Tour (EPT) heads to Barcelona later this month for its annual jamboree on the Catalonian coast. It’s invariably the most popular of all EPT destinations and for good reason. This is the city that has everything, whether you’re playing poker or not.
As ever, there’s plenty on offer for everyone at this stop, and here’s a look at the EPT Barcelona activities for this year: team sports, off-road racing, catamaran cruises, art, wine and much more.

OFF-THE-FELT EPT BARCELONA ACTIVITIES
Welcome meet up drinks
August 22 — 8pm–11pm
Blue Terrace Sofitel hotel
What better way to begin your time in Barcelona than with a quiet drink and a mingle at the official gathering to welcome players and their guests. Head to the Blue Terrace in the Sofitel Hotel for refreshments and the chance to meet new people (or catch up with some old friends).

Catamaran Brunch trip
August 23, 26 & 31 — 11am–2pm

It’s one of the most popular activities on the EPT Barcelona calendar — and why wouldn’t it be? Take an exclusive catamaran trip out into the Mediterranean, with delicious brunch served on the high seas. Bask on the sun desk, or take a dip in the azure waters. It’s the best way to make the most of Barcelona’s spectacular seaside location.

PokerStars Multi Activity Day
August 24 – All day (9am — 5pm)
Les Comes private estate
An incredible day of high adrenaline activities at the exclusive Les Comes private estate. The day includes a variety of team games and sports, including off-road car and truck driving, a marksmanship contest (with giant catapults, archery, etc.) and an adventure circuit of zip-lines, bridges and climbing. It’s a great opportunity for players to enjoy some time away from the tables, de-stress, have fun, meet new people and enjoy some time with our Team PROs. Catering is provided and there are mini spades for the winning team. Maximum 50 people. Sign up required at PS Travel desk.

Padel Tournament
August 26 –- 5pm-9pm

It’s looks a bit like tennis, and it plays a bit like tennis, but the Spanish favourite padel might be even faster and more exhausting. Just the thing to play on your day off from poker! The EPT is hosting its first padel tournament, with a 40-player cap. Top prize hasn’t been confirmed as yet, but you can usually expect something pretty good. So get signed up and come along.
Wine Gogh Sip & Paint Neon
August 30 — 3pm
Wine Gogh Official studio
Indulge a passion for art with a side helping of wine. Or indulge a passion for wine with a side helping of art. The popular “sip and paint” sessions at the Wine Gogh studios in Barcelona presents a wonderful way to while away an afternoon. This time, we’re booked in for a neon painting session, so prepare to glow in the dark — and not just your wine-flushed cheeks.

Llopart Vineyard Tour & Tasting
August 31 — 4pm–7pm

Among the Barcelona region’s many treasures is its vineyards, and guests at EPT Barcelona are invited to sample one of the finest: the Llopart Vineyard, in the hills about 50km west of Barcelona. Participants can tour the vineyard and then taste the product, sampling the very best that Catalonia has to offer.

As ever, the PokerStars Travel desk has free tickets available to a hop-on, hop-off bus tour through Barcelona. Check out all of this majestic city’s wondrous sights including La Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and the home of FC Barcelona, Camp Nou. You can get on and get off as you please to tour the entire city.
PLAYER PARTY

Open bar 8pm-midnight; Food 8pm–10pm
EPT Barcelona deserves its reputation as the most fun stop on the tour — and a large part of that is owing to the regular EPT Player Party. This year, we’re heading to CDLC Barcelona: Carpe Diem Lounge Club. The bar is only a stone’s throw from the casino and promises a night to remember for everyone.
There’s a DJ and entertainment all night, and an open bar from 8pm until midnight. Food will also be served. Don’t miss it!
