Four stops have now been announced on the EPT 2025 schedule.

LATEST NEWS:

  • European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta announced as new stop on PokerStars schedule
  • We’ll return to Prague for another round of EPT action this December

PokerStars has announced two additional stops on the 2025 European Poker Tour, with fan-favourite Prague returning and Malta making a long-awaited comeback after a nine-year hiatus.

EPT MALTA
Dates:
October 1-12, 2025
Venue: InterContinental Malta

EPT PRAGUE
Dates: December 3-14, 2025
Venue: Hilton Prague

These festivals are set to be massive, giving players even more chances to compete for prestigious titles and rack up crucial PokerStars Live League leader board points. The Live League is offering thousands in buy-ins, plus an incredible opportunity to become the newest PokerStars Ambassador with a €100K contract up for grabs.

With stops in Malta, Prague, Monte Carlo, and Barcelona, players can look forward to action-packed EPT schedules featuring marquee events like the Main Event, High Rollers, and Mystery Bounty tournaments — alongside the thrilling PokerStars Open festivals.

The PokerStars Open kicks off in Malta from October 1-6, headlined by a €1,100 Open Main Event with a €1M GTD, leading into the highly anticipated EPT Main Event.

Then, the action moves to Prague, where the PokerStars Open runs from December 3-8, once again setting the stage for the EPT Main Event from December 8-14. Players can expect another €1,100 Open Main Event with a €1M GTD, making it an unmissable stop on the tour.

ā€œThese iconic stops have become cornerstones of the European Poker Tour, each offering unique experiences and unparalleled competition,” said Live Events Senior Business Development Manager, Julien Liarte. “We can’t wait to welcome players back for another incredible year of live poker.ā€

POKERSTARS OPEN CANNES DATE CHANGE

With EPT Prague locked into its usual December spot, PokerStars Open Cannes shifts to December 15-21, bringing seven days of action to the French Riviera. With one last chance to climb the PokerStars Live League leaderboard, players can battle it out one final time. Glitz, glamour and unmissable poker – don’t miss the grand finale of 2025.

EPT MONTE CARLO

Next up we’ll see the tour return to arguably the most breathtaking poker room on the planet – the iconic Salle des Etoiles in Monaco, home of EPT Monte Carlo.

Hosted once again at the lavish Monte-Carlo CasinoĀ®ļø from April 30 – May 10, this stop is arguably the most prestigious in European poker and you won’t want to miss it. The location oozes glitz and glamour and the picturesque venue is a sight to behold thanks to a roof that rolls back to expose the Mediterranean sky.

EPT Monte-Carlo is the perfect poker spot for players to experience the beauty of the Cote d’Azur, and with exciting and exclusive activities for players and guests off the felt, there’s no better place to be.

Last year we saw a 43-year-old semi-professional poker player named Derk van Luijk take down the EPT Main Event for a cool €1 million, while Bulgaria’s Atanas Malinov steamrolled his way to the FPS Main Event title and a €303,190 payday.

EPT BARCELONA

We’ll also be heading back to perhaps our players’ favourite stop, Barcelona and the iconic Casino Barcelona, for 14 days of huge events and incredible prize pools from August 18 – 31.

As a staple of the European Poker Tour, the 2024 event saw thousands descend on Catalonia for an incredible two weeks of top-tier poker and activities to celebrate 20 years of incredible poker moments.

Last year’s EPT Barcelona Main Event drew 1,975 entries from 1,469 unique players making it the fourth-biggest field in the tour’s 20-year history, with players from 82 countries competing for a share of the whopping €9,578,750 in prize money. It was American crusher Stephen Song who took it down, winning €1,290,386.

Meanwhile, France’s Sylvain Berthelot captured the Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT) Main Event title, topping one of the biggest events in PokerStars history (7,138 entries) to win €499,224.

PokerStars players can expect more of this action in August 2025, with thousands travelling across the globe for their shot at raising the next EPT Barcelona trophy.

EPT MALTA

Malta is fast becoming a go-to hotspot for the world’s best poker players, blending a vibrant culture with a stunning historic backdrop. Now, after nearly a decade, EPT Malta is making its long-awaited return!

From October 1-12, the InterContinental Malta will host 12 days of nonstop action, accessible buy-ins and legendary player experiences. Players of all levels can jump into a packed schedule, including the iconic €5.3k Main Event.

Last seen on the EPT circuit in 2016, Malta has crowned champions like Aliaksei Boika and Scotland’s poker king, Niall ā€˜Firaldo’ Farrell. With Farrell now sitting atop Scotland’s all-time money list, who will be the next to claim the EPT Malta crown?

EPT PRAGUE

EPT Prague has long been a standout stop on the European Poker Tour, and after a record-breaking 2024, it remains a must-play event on the calendar.

From December 3-14, the stunning Hilton Prague will once again play host to one of the most beloved festivals on the calendar. Known for its electric atmosphere and massive fields, players can expect high-stakes drama, huge prize pools, and an unforgettable poker experience.

In 2024, Prague shattered records with its biggest-ever Main Event field. Will 2025 raise the bar even higher? One thing’s for sure—EPT Prague remains a must-play stop for poker lovers everywhere.

THE ACTION DOESN’T STOP THERE

PokerStars looks forward to announcing more incredible live events on the 2025 calendar over the coming months, as well as sharing information on online satellites that allow players to experience the thrill of a PokerStars live event first-hand without breaking the bank.

Power Path is by far the most flexible way to qualify for live events. Both Silver and Gold Passes give players the freedom to choose which stop they’d like to visit and what events they would like to play at those festivals.

All PokerStars players receive a free $0.50 Step 1 ticket every day they play, giving you daily shots at spinning it up into a package worth $2,500 or $10,300.

Start your Power Path journey today, but keep an eye out for those direct satellites too.
