The series sponsored by PokerStars features exciting innovations, including the $50K The Legends tournament, the most expensive ever held in the country, and the debut of the BSOP Millions Championship, which promises to be a milestone in the history of Brazilian poker.

Poker in Brazil will never be the same. BSOP Millions 2024, taking place from November 15th to 29th in SĂŁo Paulo, is set to firmly establish Brazil as a key stop on the global poker calendar. With a breath-taking line-up of High Rollers and a wide variety of tournaments starting at $100, the event will draw thousands of players to the halls of the WTC Sheraton over 15 days of competition.

Among the main attractions is an unprecedented guarantee in Brazilian poker: $12 million, surpassing the initial $8 million guaranteed in the 2023 edition of the BSOP Millions.

This massive guarantee is partly due to two tournaments that will captivate players across Brazil and attract participants from around the world: the Main Event, with an $800 buy-in and $2 million guaranteed, and the BSOP Millions Championship, one of the series’ major new features, with a $5,000 buy-in, $2 million guaranteed, and $400,000 reserved for the champion.

This tournament is set to be the largest $5K event in Brazilian history, with a structure and satellite offerings never before seen at this buy-in level.

For those passionate about high-stakes games, a true revolution awaits: as if the $20,000 Super High Roller, already a success at the BSOP Winter Millions and returning to the schedule, wasn’t enough, Brazil will see, for the first time, a tournament with an astounding $50,000 buy-in: The Legends, the most expensive event ever held in the country, which promises to bring together the elite of national and international poker.

Players can qualify for BSOP Millions through the PokerStars Power Path. Rake at least $0.01, to receive a free Power Path Step 1 ticket and progress through up to four Steps to bank either a Bronze, Silver or Gold Power Pass. Players can get their hands on a free ticket every day.

Players who win a Silver Pass can redeem this for a BSOP Millions bundle which qualifies players for the Main Event, plus two side events and travel expenses.

Power Path combines Spin & Go, Sit & Go and Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT) in a simple and immediately accessible route, where players can choose their own path to win epic poker experiences, both live and online.

Three different tiers of passes available through the Power Path are:

•           Gold Pass (worth $10,300): Entry to EPT Live Events and Major Online Events (SCOOP/WCOOP).

•           Silver Pass (worth $2,500): Entry to Regional Live Events (BSOP Millions) and Marquee Online Events

•           Bronze Pass (worth €109): Entry to Online Events (Sunday Million)

Additionally, online satellites will go live in the PokerStars client from September 6, giving more players the opportunity to qualify for this historic event for less.

“Our goal is to attract players from all over the world to the BSOP Millions. We are already one of the epicenters of global poker, but some of the top players, especially from the United States and Europe, haven’t included Brazil in their annual schedule because the country lacked a series with tournaments on par with the major stops around the world. With these innovations, like the Super High Roller, the BSOP Millions Championship, and especially The Legends, the eyes of the poker world will be on the BSOP in November,” says Rafael Moraes, PokerStars ambassador, the event’s main sponsor.

It is expected that around 200 poker tables will be in use daily in the ballrooms of the WTC Sheraton. In addition to the regular tournaments, the event will also feature a wide range of cash game options.

“This event is set to definitively place Brazil on the circuit of major global poker tournaments. We’ve planned many innovations and attractions that will not only elevate the status of poker in the country but also showcase that our organization is on par with any other poker tournament in the world. Over the coming weeks, we will be unveiling the full schedule and other exclusive new features designed for both first-time visitors and our annual BSOP Millions regulars,” concludes Devanir Campos, CEO of the BSOP.

Kevin Harrington, PokerStars CEO commented “With an unprecedented guarantee and a world-class line up of events, BSOP Millions 2024 is set to be an unmissable event for the poker community.”

Note: All buy-ins are paid in Brazilian reais. The conversion to dollars may vary according to the current exchange rate.
